About PCA New England

PCA New England was founded in 1961 by Edgar Dreyman and Vernon Madden as a corrosion control and cathodic protection specialist. Our early clients included many of the oil companies that are still seen today. The clientele soon spread to utilities, both natural gas and electricity, in light of their need to address corrosion of their facilities. In the early 1970s, PCA New England naturally extended their service set into the inspection of the same sort of structures we were protecting from corrosion: tanks (both underground and above-ground), pipelines, marine structures, cooling water piping, etc.

PCA New England employs a team of qualified personnel with certifications including:

  • National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) accredited cathodic protection and coating professionals
  • American Petroleum Institute accredited tank, pipeline and pressure vessel inspectors, with certifications including API 653, API 570, and API 510
  • Personnel trained and certified to meet federal and state regulations, including US DOT Operator Qualifications (OQ), and environmental authorities in most states
  • Most PCA team members have Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC), as well as OSHA HAZWOPER training

PCA New England has a culture of safety awareness, and makes it a priority to safely complete a client’s project.
